The times they are a changing

Time is a hot commodity around here when the kids are sleeping and yes, I said sleeping. We are now at a point where Grace sleeps 5-6 hours a night and Silas is at 3-4 a night, wow! No more Teams as everyone sleeps in their cribs and Sarah and I finally are in the same bed again.

Things really are moving fast and both babies got the 2 month shots on Dec 23. They did really well and no one had fevers, but a few tears from both kids and Sarah. Just this week it seems they both found their hands interesting and tasty. Grace makes so much noise while she is sucking on her fingers we can here her when she wakes up in her crib. She also makes a little cooing noise and seems quite happy.

Silas now weighs over 11lbs and Grace weighs about 10lbs. Silas is solid as a rock but a little more needy than Grace is at times. He just loves to be carried around every where we go. He also always wakes up crying, while Grace wakes up smiling. Grace was given the nickname "Peanut" when she was just a few days old because of her size. The nickname fits her well still...she is so laid back and really wants to just be put down sometimes, as if we are bothering her independence. Only about a week and 6 days before the house is up to me (Sarah goes back to work) and I'm expecting mass chaos the first few days until we get adjusted, but then I hope we flow into a routine we can all handle.
According to most people, Silas looks more like a Hoff than a Puterbaugh...so we did a comparison. Looks like he has the Hoff nose and ears, and the rest is all Cory.

Happy New Year and may your coming year be as good as ours has been.

Below are a few pictures from Christmas.

Team Silas vs Team Grace

At night we each take a baby, rather then both get up at the same time since Grace falls sleep faster then Silas. So because of work, I get Grace at night and it seems my baby sleeps longer and is less fussy. Now Sarah can say Silas has gas issues and therefore dosen't sleep as well, but it seems Grace lets me get more sleep. By doing things this way we have formed a seperate bond with each baby makeing it my team against her team to get the most sleep at night... so far Team Grace is ahead. "Team Grace" set a record with an astounding 4hrs in a row the other night, while team Silas only accomplished a one hour sleeping streak. It seems things are slowly getting better and man are they gaining weight fast. We can only hope some of the issues will work themselfs out over time (acid reflux, gas, etc).

P.S. Everything I've read in the books and magazines about sleep dosen't work, so I may write my own method on sleep...or lack thereof.

Below are some new pictures, they sure have grown fast!
